Double Frequency DNP Resonator Design
The simple double helix resonator was designed to test the DNP effects. Its low active volume is large enough get
sufficent NMR signal but ist also low enough for test DNP in strong microwave absorbing solvents like water.
Right and lift are plunger to tune the microwave frequency. On the bottom is a flange to connect the microwave network.
The above movie shows the microwave flow into the simple resonator helix. Depicted is the magnetic field intensity of the microwave. Red reflex strong magnetic microwave field. The cavity wall is the RF coil. Below is a pictire of the solenoid mounted on the probe head, without microwave connection
